Clancy Brown joins ‘Nothing to Fear’ cast

Maybe it’s not such a big leap from playing guitar to Guns N’ Roses to producing your own horror film, but detractors of Slash’s Nothing to Fear might as well keep their mouths shut. With the new actors rounding out the big names, the horror film has a lot of promise even before shooting starts.

Clancy Brown (Highlander, The Shawshank Redemption) will be playing the role of a deranged pastor who butts heads with In Time’s Ethan Peck, a man with a few of his own skeletons in the closet, Cinema Blend reports. While Brown’s confirmation means that all hopes of having Sideways‘ Thomas Haden Church on board are dashed, the screen-filling Brown should be a great to choice to fill the screen alongside Peck and Anne Heche (Rampart).

The horror film will take place in the town of Stull, Kansas. This locale is rumored to contain a gateway to hell, a feature that anybody who has driven through any part of Kansas while low on caffeine can readily believe. As Brown’s and Peck’s characters will go to show, all is not as it seems in this serene slice of suburbia.

No word yet on when shooting will start. No word, either, on whether Slash will reunite with his old bandmates to do the soundtrack. If so, between the music and the cast, this could be the must-see movie of the year.
